ADOHTA Membership Fees

 
ADOHTA Membership Fees are annual from 1 July to 30 June
 

Full Membership – $330 (Inc. GST)

Currently registered as a Dental or Oral Health Therapist and/or Hygienist
 

Associate Membership – $275 (Inc. GST)

Not currently registered as a Dental Therapist or Oral Health Therapist and/or Hygienist but wish to retain associate membership; or are engaged in the industry of dental and oral health but not working as a Dental or Oral Health Therapist or Hygienist.

Graduate Membership - $165 (Inc. GST)

For students who graduated in the last 6 months, this is an introductory membership offer valid for one year only.

Student Membership – Free

Free for the duration of their undergraduate degree [Bachelor of Oral Health or equivalent] and including up to 6 months following graduation up until the renewal period following their graduation. Students are required to enter their Student ID number and the Name of the University they are studying at for verification of eligibility.

Pro Rata Membership – after 1 October calculated at;

$33 (Inc. gst) per month for remaining months of financial year
Pro Rata Membership is only available to 1) new members for the first year of membership only or 2) those with lapsed membership of more than 2 years for the first year of re-joining only. Currently registered as a Dental or Oral Health Therapist and/or Hygienist.
 

Life Membership – Free

Only available to members nominated by their State or Territory Branch for outstanding contribution to the profession and/or the association.
Free for the life of the member or until member resigns from the association.
 

Honorary Membership – Free

Only available to members nominated by their State or Territory Branch and supported by ADOHTA Council for special contribution to the profession and/or the association.
Free for the duration determined by the ADOHTA Council or until member resigns from the association.



 

ADOHTA Victoria Mission Statement


The Australian Dental and Oral Health Therapist Association Inc. Victorian Branch (ADOHTA Vic) is the peak professional organisation for dental and oral health therapists in the state, actively working towards raising the profile of the profession within Victoria in pursuit of improving health outcomes for the community.

The ADOHTA Vic provides leadership, collaboration and advocacy for the profession and oral health issues within the community locally and nationally.  Social and professional networking opportunities are created through meetings, workshops and conferences. Our members receive regular newsletters and access to the ‘Members Section’ of this website which contains online information regarding employment and Continuing Professional Development opportunities.

The ADOHTA Vic provides additional support in areas such as representing the members’ interests before industrial tribunal and co-operating/affiliating with other professional bodies in and outside Australia.

 

Objectives of the Association

 
1.      To adhere to the principles outlined in the Association's Code of Ethics. 

2.      To develop the professional interests of Dental and Oral Health Therapy in Victoria.

3.      To co-operate and /or affiliate with any professional body in or outside Australia.
 
4.      To establish and maintain standards and conditions of employment for Dental and Oral Health Therapists in Victoria.

5.      To provide support for and encourage education, instruction and training in Dental and Oral Health Therapy and in that connection take any action calculated to improve the standard of Dental and Oral Health Therapy.

.      Advancing members' industrial relations interests and to represent their interests before industrial tribunals if required.

7
.      To do such other acts and things as may be incidental or conducive to the attainment of the aforementioned objects.
